40k Unboxing – Legion Cataphractii Terminators

Looking for some Termiantor models that have some character?

Checkout the Legion Cataphractii kit!

These guys have tons of different weapon options that let you use them in games of Horus Heresy (30k), or normal 40k as terminator models as well.

The styling and detail of these models is unheard of by anything in the plastic range, and fits well when used as HQ or command level units.

Between these and the Justaerin versions, Forge World may be hard pressed to make something that is better looking for future releases!

Which version is your favorite, the Cataphractii or Justaerin?

The Kit

Cataphractii Terminators kit is available for 33 pounds (~$49.50) from Forge World.  Weapon sets
are around 15 pounds each (~$25)

The Cataphractii Pattern was amongst the first Terminator armour issued, and suits of this type were even more heavily protected than their contemporaries. Slab-like ceramite pauldrons housed additional shield generators, although this formidable protection came at the cost of the wearer’s speed, and the trade between agility and survivability meant that this pattern was beginning to decline among some Legions at the outbreak of the Heresy.

Designed by Will Hayes, the iconic Cataphractii Pattern Terminators is a set of 5 detailed multi-part resin models which includes an optional sergeant shield, bare head and a grenade harness. Weapons sets shown in some images sold separately.
