Commander Cody

The time has come to execute your orders in Destiny with Commander Cody. Grab your Clone Troopers and prepare to engage in battle!

Clone Commander Cody

Commander Cody, executor of Order 66, is in it for the Heroes this time around in Destiny. Cody allows you to really gang up with your Clones, decreasing the point cost of each Clone Trooper when you are building your team. This allows you to field the single die version of Commander Cody and have 3 Clone Troopers!

Cody has a special ability that favors battlefield control and allows you to use its claim ability, even if it has already been used. Having an almost identical die to the Clone Trooper will allow you to set up some punishing rounds. Clone Trooper

Clone Troopers are solid troops that work better en masse, especially with Cody. Their character dice can pump out some solid ranged damage and have a built-in re-roll whenever you activate them. If you control the battlefield, you can re-roll another character die, making sure that you avoid those double blanks. Choosing the right battlefield can serve the Clones well, and Commander Cody has one such in mind.

Bendu's Lair

Bendu’s Lair is a unique battlefield in that it has an accompanying die with a Power Action. This is great since Commander Cody’s special ability allows you to claim Bendu’s Lair and roll in into your pool without having to wait a turn.

Bendu’s die can always give you a valuable result when you roll it, and if your opponent manages to claim and use it before you, you can use Commander Cody’s special to seize it back, effectively removing it fro your opponent’s pool! Having battlefield control will also make your Clone Troopers perform better too.

Deployment

Another great way to get your Cones into battle is with a good Deployment. This 1 resource event allows you to activate any number of your  non-unique Clones at once. This can allow you to activate all 3 of your Clone Troopers to get a fast and furious round of ranged damage onto your opponent’s characters.

You can then take your time activating Commander Cody and using his special to claim the battlefield or whatever tactic you find is best for your team.

Attack of the Clones

After your deployment, if you’ve saved up a hefty pile of resources, you can go for an Attack of the Clones. This allows you to ready any number of your non-unique Clone Troopers that have the same title.

This allows you to get double the mileage out of your 3 Clones, making their swarming theme ever viable and strong. Attack with all of your might, and all of your Clones, with Commander Cody and you will prevail in Destiny!
