Cunning Archaeologist: Star Wars Destiny

By Barclay Montgomery | March 1st, 2018 | Categories: Star Wars Destiny, Star Wars Tactics

Doctor Aphra has a knack for getting into trouble, but she always seems to have a brilliant plan to go along with it. Come and see what makes her work so well.

Doctor Aphra may not look imposing, and she has some weird abilities, but she is a character you definitely should not underestimate. She is support oriented with her droid discount ability and drawing a card whenever she deals indirect damage to herself can add some versatility to your hand as the game progresses.

Aphra’s ship, the Ark Angel, and even more versatility and support chaining with its abilities. After you activate the Ark Angel you may activate up to two of your other supports in the order of your choice. This can get all of your supports online and ready to rock in one simple activation. This can further be chained by using cards like Partnership.

The most ruthless Blastomech droid in the galaxy, BT-1, is a murderbot companion to Dr. Aphra. He can be played at a discounted 1 resource, and start blasting away with his ability to deal an indirect damage to Aphra and your opponent. This can grab you a card in a pinch and start the countdown clock on your opponent’s life total.

A droid that can be played for free with Aphra is the evil opposite to BB-8: BB-9E. This droid adds more indirect damage, melee damage, and a special ability that can be fantastic value for your dice game. You may reroll an opponent’s die with his special ability, and you can reroll BB-9E back into your pool for more fun.

Doctor Aphra has lots of powerful friends. It would be unwise to underestimate her in Star Wars Destiny.
