Dengar is making a surprise appearance as he comes out of hiding to pursue bounties in Star Wars X-Wing. Can he acquire new targets with this build?
Dengar is comfortable behind the controls of his Jumpmaster 5000 at pilot skill 9. This large base ship has a funky maneuver dial and has barrel roll capabilities, so outmaneuvering your foes is no problem. Dengar has an ability to be able to give some payback, being able to perform an attack on an enemy after defending. The key is to keep your enemies inside your firing arc.
With the Punishing One title, you increase your primary weapon value to 3. This can be a welcome boost for Dengar as he has a built in turret in his primary fire. This can quickly add up with his maneuver dial and PS of 9. It helps in a pinch if you can;t keep them in your firing arc, you can still perform an attack, but no payback for them.
Once you have your target in sight, use Outmaneuver to bring down their defenses. When attacking a ship inside your firing arc, if you are not inside that ship’s firing arc, you may reduce its agility by 1. This can be a killing blow to an enemy caught unawares.
Dengar needs a little backup to stay in the fight, and 4-LOM is here to help. When attacking, you may receive 1 ion token to choose either 1 focus or 1 evade token, and the defender cannot spend it. This can further lower an enemy’s defenses after you have outmaneuvered them!
There is the problem of the ion token from 4-LOM, but an Illicit tech can help you out. Ion Dischargers works to help you get rid of ionization, and pass it off to an enemy, hopefully the one you just used 4-LOM to attack! You may choose 1 enemy at range 1 and it may either take your ion token or let you just remove it for no cost. Up to them but if they want to live they may just take it for you!
Dengar is back and ready to hunt dwon Rebel prey and Imperial stragglers. Get your bounty money!
