This Wookiee is not one you want on your bad side! Chewbacca has just entered this battle for victory in Star Wars Destiny with a chip on his furry shoulder!
The loyal Wookiee friend, Chewbacca is a strong character for the Heroes in Destiny. Having a solid 2 melee, 2 ranged for a resource, and a special ability, Chewie can run with the best Heroes. His special ability allows you to turn an opponent’s die to a side showing damage to deal that damage to a character. This isn’t all bad as it can change a 3 melee to a 2 melee, and deal it back to your opponent before they can resolve the more powerful dice.
Chewie can take the hits for your other Heroes by pledging a Life Debt. After the attached character activates, you may move 1 damage from another character to this character. This can keep your other Heroes healthy while Chewie keeps tanking damage.
Taking all of this damage doesn’t have to be all bad. Battle Rage can be activated once the battle has gone on long enough and you need to unleash the beast! For 1 resource, you may spot a character with 6 or more damage on it, and resolve one of its character dice showing damage, increasing it by 2. This can result in 4 melee or 4 ranged for a resource from Chewie. Rrrooaarrgghh!
Since Chewie can take too much damage very quickly, a Redeploy weapon would be a great option for him. Vibrocutlass can add to his melee punch and has the benefit of reducing its resource costs when equipped to him. Two shields can also help him recover from his Life Debt and can keep him fighting longer against the Villains in Destiny!
