Grievous Harm: Star Wars Destiny

By Barclay Montgomery | August 18th, 2017 | Categories: Star Wars Destiny, Star Wars Tactics

General Grievous is a cybernetic Jedi Hunter that fights for the villains in Star Wars Destiny. Can this build bring him back into the game?

General Grievous is a melee oriented character with his dice having 2 sides showing 2 melee, 1 side showing 3 melee for a resource, 1 disrupt, and 1 resource. His special ability allows him to steal non-ability upgrades from defeated enemy characters. Lightsabers and Z6 Riot Control Batons would be perfect for General Grievous to have in his many arms. The elite version of Grievous is used in this deck and FN-2199 is the perfect Wingman for him.

FN-2199 is all about speed and getting his die out there quick. He has a varied die with 1 ranged, 1 melee, 2 melee for a resource, 1 shield, and 1 resource. But his ability makes him jump to hyperspace by being able to roll out a weapon die whenever he is equipped with one. Holdout Blaster is the perfect combo for FN being able to equip him, roll out the Holdout Blaster die, and gain ambush all in one action! We can make this team even more speedy by adding Wingman. By equipping wingman onto General Grievous, he gains the ability to activate after a friendly Red character is activated. So you can activate FN-2199 and then activate Grievous and roll both characters at once. This can lead up to massive damage and activation advantage over your opponent. Since many of the Villain cards have resource costs on their dice, you may find yourself running out of funds for all of your damage. But Imperial War Machine will help you resolve those dice for free. Having a Rocket Launcher on FN-2199 and using Imperial War Machine will enable you to keep the tempo up.The Z6 Riot Control Baton is a great weapon to equip to FN-2199 and allows for crazy dice manipulation. Since Grievous is the heavy hitter in this deck, equipping FN with the Z6 can take pressure off of Grievous, and hopefully will result in an enemy character being defeated; resulting in his weapon stealing ability going off.

Does this deck signal the return of General Grievous? Try it out in your next Star Wars Destiny game!
