This crazy new Villain deck for Star Wars Destiny will have you wondering if it is legal when you start hurting your opponent’s resources and deck!
Nute Gunray enters the fray in Destiny as a Red Villain character that will have your opponent’s resources on lockdown. He has a built-in character ability that makes it so that each opponent gains 1 fewer resource during the upkeep phase. This can keep your opponent on the low end of tempo as this will limit their resources and therefore their upgrade and event economy. His character die features 1 indirect, 1 focus, 2 disrupt, 1 resource and +1 resource. Those resource sides will come in handy later on!
A good partner to pair up with Nute Gunray is Jango Fett. Not only is his character ability great for getting the upper hand on your opponent, Jango will be the powerhouse of this deck. Slapping upgrades that have the Redeploy ability on Jango will make it an uphill battle for your opponent to focus on. His 2 resource sides of his dice will come in handy as well with a Support option that will make it that much worse for your enemies.
Salvage Stand is a support that makes it so that after you roll a resource, you may exhaust it you may force an opponent to lose 1 resource. Since Nute and Jango have 2 sides of their dice featuring resource, you should have no problem getting mileage out of this one. Their resource economy is already hurting, put the finishing move on it with Salvage Stand!
Blackmail is a powerful upgrade that can further control your opponents by forcing discards and disrupts. It has a built-in ability that allows your opponent to give you 1 resource to remove this die, but with Nute Gunray’s ability and Salvage Stand, its likely your opponent will have no resources left to handle the Blackmail, and if they do, 1 less resource again for them!
Your opponents will be helpless at the hands of Nute Gunray and Jango Fett! Hit them where it hurts in Star Wars Destiny.
