A New Way To Finn: Star Wars Destiny

Finn

Finn is suiting up for battle in Star Wars Destiny, and he’s bringing along some Rebel friends that will dominate the battlefield!

Finn soldier of necessity

The new version of Finn is much more prepared for battle this time around in Destiny. As an elite at 16 points, you get a Red Hero character with 11 health and an interesting special ability: Move 1 damage from a card to another card in play. This can open up interesting opportunities besides just moving damage from one of your characters to another. There are numerous cards within Destiny now that have damage as a counter on them. He has strong character dice to with 2 ranged, +2 ranged, 3 indirect, 1 resource, and his special ability side. Main Plaza Yashika

An interesting card that can work well with Finn’s special ability is the Battlefield Main Plaza. This Battlefield has a Claim ability that allows you to move 1 damage from a character to this battlefield or move all damage from this battlefield to a character, ignoring shields. This can work with Finn as you can load up damage onto it with his special ability from your characters or from your opponent’s. Once it has reached critical mass, you can use the claim ability to move all the damage on Main Plaza to a character, but your opponent could also do this. Not with Snap Wexley around! Temmin "Snap" Wexley Recon Specialist

Snap Wexley is a Red Hero that can make claiming the battlefield a pain for your opponent. While at least one of Snap’s dice are in your pool, your opponent must spend 1 resource to claim the battlefield. This can be a soft counter to your opponent being able to claim the battlefield, and his disrupt sides can make it so that your opponent will have a hard time claiming at all. Drop Zone

Another great support card that has synergy with your Finn/ Battlefield strategy is Drop Zone. For 1 resource, you get a support that you can load up more damage onto. After you claim the battlefield, you may place 1 damage on Drop Zone. As an action, you may exhaust Drop Zone and move any amount of damage from it to a character, ignoring shields. Finn can use his ability to move damage from another card onto Drop Zone and load it up for a surprise burst of damage! Planetary Uprising

One more piece of the Finn strategy is the dreaded Planetary Uprising. This 2 cost support makes it so that every time you claim the battlefield, an opponent deals 2 damage to their characters, distributed as they wish. Main Plaza, Finn, Snap, Drop Zone, and the Planetary Uprising can be a lot to handle for your opponent as you whittle them down with Finn’s new battle strategy!
