The ARC-170 is the answer to the Droid fighter menace that is sweeping X-Wing 2.0. This starfighter will be escorting the Chancellor himself!
The ARC-170 is flying onto the heart of battle in X-Wing 2.0. This medium size ship has plenty of weapons options to devastate the Separatist forces. Odd Ball is our pilot today, and he has an ability to get his sights set even after performing difficult maneuvers.
After Odd Ball fully executes a red maneuver or performs a red action, if there is an enemy in his bullseye arc, he may acquire a target lock on that ship. Odd Ball can improve weapons accuracy, even after pushing his ship to the limit.
To bank on the red maneuver shenanigans, Odd Ball will be joined by a trusty Astromech: R4-P44. The plucky little droid gives Odd Ball a calculate token if, after performing a red maneuver, there is an enemy ship in his bullseye arc. Gaining a lock and a calculate token just for pulling a red maneuver is easy money for this ARC-170 pilot.
Chancellor Palpatine will be riding along with Odd Ball to assist his forces in battle. Having Palpatine on board will give you a recurring Force charge, as well as allowing you to coordinate your allies. The Chancellor also gives Odd Ball the ability to give an enemy attacker a stress token if it is within range 0-2 after attacking. The Chancellor will ensure that Odd Ball makes it to safety, as he has other long term plans!
To finish up the dream team on this ARC-170, Commander Cody will lend his battle insight. As a turret gunner upgrade, Commander Cody allows Odd Ball to assign a strain token to the defender of an attack that misses. This can help Odd Ball secure victory, no matter the outcome from his defenses or attacks!
