Silent Striker: Whisper’s Back For X-Wing 2.0

Every Imperial players’ favorite TIE Phantom pilot is silently approaching the tabletops of X-Wing 2.0 once again; Whisper! Coming in with a few changes, Whisper has a primary attack value of 3 and gains an additional hull at 3 this time around.

This makes the Phantom a little sturdier at the cost of 1 attack value. But Whisper is still as tricky as ever since she will gain 1 evade token after performing an attack that hits. The TIE Phantom comes will a built in Stygium Array that allows Whisper to gain an evade token after decloaking. If you don’t happen to spend that evade token, you may spend it in the End Phase to gain 1 cloak token.

Since Whisper will have plentiful evade tokens, she will equip the Juke talent to increase her damage potential. While Whisper performs an attack, if she is evading, she may change 1 of the defender’s evade results to a focus result.

This can either force damage through her attacks or force the defender to spend a focus token. This can be beneficial to make your opponent’s ships more vulnerable either way you slice it!

Director Krennic

Director Krennic will be overseeing the capabilities of the TIE Phantom by making it an Optimized Prototype. Best placed on a support ship, Krennic will be able to make Whisper an optimized Prototype at the start of your game.

This will make the already fearsome TIE Phantom ever more of a threat to your opponent. Optimized Prototype

The Optimized Prototype condition makes it so that when Whisper performs a primary attack against a ship that is locked by Director Krennic’s ship, Whisper may spend 1 hit, crit, or focus result to force the defender to lose 1 shield or flip one of its facedown damage cards.

This can help Whisper get damage through so that she can gain an evade token, making her a tough target to counter once the lasers start flying. Use the TIE Phantoms strengths against unwary Rebel prey in X-Wing 2.0!
