Terror of the Empire: Vader in Star Wars Destiny

By Barclay Montgomery | November 28th, 2018 | Categories: Star Wars Destiny, Star Wars Tactics

Darth Vader is truly a terror to behold on the battlefields of Destiny. He may be surrounded by the Heroes, but he is surrounded by dead men!

Darth Vader

Darth Vader is back yet again in Destiny and this time he is not messing around. This one-man-army Sith Lord has an astounding 15 health and an incredible Power Action. If one or more of his character dice are removed during an opponent’s turn , you may discard a card from your hand to roll those dice back into your pool.

This can continue Vader’s relentless assault against the Heroes. His 3 sides of melee damage can unleash a brutal bevy of damage, and his 2 shield and 2 resource sides can make sure that you can face any enemy with no additional characters.

Darth Vader's Lightsaber

Darth Vader will be brandishing his personal lightsaber against any foe that dare face him. This Sith Lord saber will boost his melee output exponentially and can add defenses with its 2 shields. To add to his relentlessness theme, after you resolve his saber die, you may spend 1 resource to roll one of Vader’s character dice into your pool.

Then you may deal 1 damage to a character. This can be useful in resolving Vader’s 2 resource die, the rolling in his Lightsaber, and spend 1 resource to roll his character dice back into his pool.

Darth Vader's Meditation Chamber

All of that relentless fighting can be taxing on a Sith Lord, so he may need to retreat to Darth Vader’s Meditation Chamber. This 2 resource support allows Vader to heal 1 damage and place 1 card from your discard pile on the bottom of your deck. You may then draw a card if your character is Darth Vader. This is a great way to get a powerful Event back into your deck to be sued later, such as Rise Again again!

Vader's Fist

Vader has to have reinforcements to do his bidding and none are better than Vader’s Fist. This powerful, 5 resource support has massive damage potential and a Power Action to be able to turn to any side if you spot Darth Vader.

This support also allows you to roll it into your pool as soon as you play it, ready to wreak 3 ranged or even 4 indirect damage to your foes. Vader will not be denied in Destiny, and he will crush any that cross his path.
