The dark side of the Force values raw power and strength over serenity or peace. Let’s review some of the top villain upgrades in Star Wars Destiny.

By far the most valuable of the dark side upgrades, the Sith Holocron is amazing. For 0 resources, this card allows you to switch out a blue upgrade in your hand for free. All you have to do is roll out its special, and you could swap the holocron for a more expensive upgrade. After you do the holocron returns to your hand, and you can start the process all over again. Well worth it in any force user deck.

Force Choke is another amazing. must have upgrade for your blue deck. At a mere 2 resources, you get an upgrade that gives you control over your opponent. Disrupt, discard, and one heck of a special ability. Die manipulation is super powerful in Destiny, and this ability give you the power ot do just that. The Force Choke special allows you to deal 1 unblockable damage to a character and you may then change an enemy upgrade or character die to whatever you wish. Super powerful!

No self respecting Sith leaves home without a lightsaber. If you have Kylo Ren’s lightsaber, you can wield true power. For 3 resources, you get a die that boosts your melee potential to maximum. With a plus 2 and plus 3 on its die, you will have a potential to do massive melee damage each round. Its special is a rare treat as well. It deals unblockable damage and if any is blocked by shields, you may reroll its die instead of removing it from your dice pool. Unlimited power!

No Hutt should be without this massive upgrade. Crime Lord is more suited for rogue and yellow decks, Crime Lord is a 4 resource upgrade that adds massive support potential. 2 focus, 3 disrupt, 2 shields, and 2 resource on its die make for the perfect boost to your resource management. But the best is saved for last. On 2 sides of its dice are its special ability. If you spend 5 resources, a chosen character is defeated at the end of your current round. Full health Jango with 3 shields? Defeated with the Crime Lord special! Gotta love that!

Last but not least is the humble F-11D Rifle. Much like the Stormtroopers seen in the films, this upgrade helps your troops hit their mark with plus 1 and plus 2 ranged damage. It has the ever helpful Redeploy keyword so you can hand this blaster off to your surviving heroes. It’s special forces the opponent to deal 2 damage to their character, distributing it as they which. Grab your guns and blast them!
