What would happen if Snoke had gotten his clutches on Darth Vader? Today we will find out how Snoke would have tapped into Vader’s hatred!
Vader & Snoke’s New Path to Hatred: SW Destiny
Darth Vader is the perfect vessel for Snoke’s destructive teachings since Vader has a proclivity to self-harm. Vader is powerfully well rounded, having 1 ranged, 2 melee, 3 melee for a resource, 1 discard, and a special ability that allows him to deal 3 damage to a character and also 1 to himself. Vader will be a powerful tool for Snoke to wield in battle!
Supreme Leader Snoke is the Villain to watch out for these days in Destiny. His Power Action is what makes him so formidable, being able to deal 1 damage to another one of your characters to resolve one of its character dice, increasing its value by 2. This can give Vader the ability to deal out a massive 5 melee damage (for 1 resource) to your opponent. This can send any character in Destiny reeling, and Snoke’s focus sides make sure that you will have what you need to crush your opponents.
Since Vader will let nothing stop his anger, Hate is a great upgrade for him. At 1 resource, this upgrade kicks in after you activate Vader; you may deal 1 damage to an attached character to deal 1 damage to another character. This can keep the damage coming even after your opponent is recovering from the last round of Snoke’s Power Action.
If you managed to not roll any focus results on Snoke’s dice, you can use Power From Pain to make sure you get what you need. This 0 cost Blue Event allows you to spot Snoke to deal 1 damage to one of your characters to turn one of their characters or upgrade dice to any side. This can help you get that massive melee strike with Vader’s 3 melee or use it to make Vader’s special be able to be used.
You can make use of all of this self-harm to Vader by tapping into his Torment. This 1 cost upgrade makes it so that after an attached character is dealt damage, you may exhaust Torment to gain 1 resource. This can come in handy to power up your resources for another powerful upgrade or event.
Darth Vader can only take so much damage before he himself succumbs to his own hatred. Dark Ritual gives him another chance to strike down his foes. For 5 resources, you may return one of your defeated characters to the game exhausted and place damage on it equal to half of its health rounded down.
This will bring Vader back with 5 damage on him, but more importantly, gives him more chances to destroy Snoke’s foes with his anger. Use your hatred as a valuable tool with Vader and Snoke!
