3 Sneak Peeks From Star Wars The Last Jedi

The Last Jedi is hitting the theaters December 15th, 2017! Checkout three big sneak peeks on the magic behind the movie.

The Star Wars franchise has taken the world by storm, introducing new generations to the magic of the galaxy far, far away. Episode VII was a massive success, and Episode VIII, The Last Jedi, looks like no exception. With a new episode comes new locations, creatures, and a few reprisals of fan-favorites. Let’s check out three big sneak peeks from the latest behind the scenes trailer to hit the ‘nets.

A-Wing

Many fans will be pleased to know that Rian Johnson, director of The Last Jedi, is bringing back the A-Wing! There were some critics of The Force Awakens because of the absence of classic starships like Y-Wings, but production stills confirm this favorite from Return of the Jedi will be making its way back to the big screen.

We don’t know in what context exactly the A-Wing will make its reappearance, but fans can rest assured it will be worth the wait.

Porgs

What would a Star Wars movie be without an abundance of aliens and quirky critters? Every new episode expands the already massive universe, and The Last Jedi is staying true to that trend. We now know that Porgs will be making their first appearance!

What are Porgs? Apparently these otter/puffin hybrid creatures are native to Ahch-To, where Luke is currently residing. Even cooler, it is rumored that they are Force-sensitive, which means these little critters may look harmless but will pack a large punch!

Canto Bight

Canto Bight is officially put on the map in Episode VIII! Unlike Mos Eisley, which is famous for its rough-and-tumble vibe, Canto Bight is supposedly where the galaxy’s 1% live. A playground for the ultra elite, Canto Bight is teeming with gambling and apparent apathy for the ongoing conflict between the Resistance and The First Order.

The above picture shows sharply dressed aliens and apparent humans, perhaps getting ready for their next big gambling session. What remains to be seen is if the gamble to remain outwardly neutral in the ongoing conflicts around them will pay off! Perhaps there is more going on behind the scenes than meets the eye; we will have to wait to find out!

With the overwhelming popularity and hype surrounding the recent D23, we will more than likely get even more spoilers as the movie release approaches. Mark December 15th, 2017 on your calendars: Episode VIII: The Last Jedi will be a crowd-pleaser.
