Hello again X-Wing fans! Come see our pics for the hottest new upgrade cards for the new Wave 8!

What thrilling new combinations will we see with all the new hotness?

Let’s dive in and take a peek:

Attanni MindlinkAttanni-mindlink

This card is an unusual new Elite upgrade for Scum only ships. Each other friendly ship that shares the Attanni Mindlink will receive a focus token or a stress token whenever the other does. This is very useful for getting multiple actions on multiple ships simultaneously. This seems like the perfect upgrade for a Bro Bots list of dual IG-88’s but will need to have careful planning to ensure that your ships are not both stressed before the other can perform its maneuver.

Rage

Don’t get mad, get glad! Another Elite upgrade that is shaking things up is Rage. As an action, you can assign 1 focus token, receive 2 stress tokens, and then have the ability to re-roll up to 3 attack dice! This is incredible if not downright dangerous. Shedding 2 stress is no easy task, especially with Stress Bot out there ruining everyone’s day. But there is one guy who loves stress, and that is Tycho Celchu. His pilot ability allows him to perform actions even while stressed! With Rage assigned to him, he can dish out a wallop when he attacks. Gotta love that synergy.

Guidance Chips

Another hotly anticipated new upgrade is Guidance Chips. When firing torpedoes or missiles this upgrade allows you to change 1 die to a hit if your primary weapon value is 2, or change 1 die into a crit if your primary weapon value is 3. This is a great upgrade and will hopefully convince some players that still seem on the fence about the reliability of munitions. This 0 point upgrade effectively guarantees at least some damage when firing munitions, and seems to be the perfect upgrade for B-Wings and Khiraxz fighters. TIE Bombers and Y-Wings will definitely benefit from this as well, but not as much since they both have a Primary Weapon value of 2.

Boba Fett (Crew Card)

The most incredible new upgrade that will be out soon is the Boba Fett crew card. Whenever you perform an attack that deals a face up damage card Boba Fett can strip away any upgrade on the defender. This is a game changer! No more Stress Bot, no more Palpatine, and no more Twin Laser Turret! This guy will most definitely be seen in every Scum list once he hits the meta game, and for 1 point he is a bargain. Of course he is one use only, but being the bounty hunter that he is, once the job is done he is gone.

Dengar (Crew Card)

dengar-2

Another fantastic new card is the Dengar crew card. When you are attacking, you may reroll 1 die, but if the defender is a unique pilot you may reroll up to 2 die! This seems like a reverse Predator, and given that most of the pilots out there are unique, you will surely get your mileage out of Dengar. He can be incredibly useful on ships that do not have an Elite slot, but do have a crew slot. Dengar will be a popular new addition to the game.
