Here are the remaining Rumor Engine teasers that have yet to be unveiled by Games Workshop.

2022:

September 13th, 2022: Sneaky Spider Slashers

rumor engine 09-13-2022

This is clearly a spider’s head! That means a clear likely release for either one of two AoS factions. Gloomspite Gits and their spider riders or Chaos and their Spider Cult that was spotlighted in Warcry as a Warband. That said, we really hope it’s Gitz, as they need the help and probably even a rework soon!

November 15th, 2022: Under Lock and Key

11-15-2022 rumor engine

This new rumor engine is very clearly a lock on a circular piece of metal, but that doesn’t make it easy to place! It could be terrains like a man-hole-style hatch or even part of a new vehicle. Who knows!

2023:

May 16th, 2023: Spray & Pray

Check out the details of the latest model on the way for 40k or AoS from Warhammer Community.

rumor engine 05-16-23

This new rumor engine is a scenic base that could be anything, really! But we’d love to see it as part of a new Assassin mini, like one reimagined Vindicare from Warhammer+ or with more battle damage on the base than the one below.

June 27th, 2023: New Imperial Ammo Box

Check out the details of the latest GW Rumor Engine model on the way for 40k or AoS from Warhammer Community.

rumor engine 06-27-23

This rumor engine is pretty straightforward and easy to place. It is almost certainly going to be imperium, such as Astra MIlitarum, or perhaps even Necromunda.

2023 Advent Engines:

Day 3: Krieg Making a Mine Field?

Advent Engine Death Korps of Krieg 2Well, the minefield part is pretty obvious, as the sign just straight-up says it! However, who would use it? Who are masters of trench warfare in 40k? It all points to Krieg!

Someone even said Sappers for Krieg on the official Facebook page, and GW answered, we like your style. This one seems more obvious than some previous rumors if you ask us.

Day 4: A Smooth Coat

Advent Engine Death Korps of Krieg 9If you ask us, this has an AoS feel and, more specifically, looks a lot like something for the Soulblight Gravelords.

Day 5: The Branch of Justice!

Advent Engine Sylvaneth 2

If you ask us, this has an AoS feel and, more specifically, looks a lot like something for the protectors of the forests. However, it is pretty generic and could always be something on the base of a Catachan model!

Day 6: New Skaven Plague Monks?

GW's New Advent Rumor Engine 2

Well, it looks pretty obvious to be something for Nurgle, and GW even mentioned a sticky book. While it could always be Maggotkin, that arm and nails look much more like a rat to us!

Plus, they need an update badly, and maybe we’ll get a huge resurgence of Plague Monks!

Day 8: A Servo-Skull Appears

2023 Advent Rumor Engine 2

Well, this could obviously be for almost any Imperial unit… but we’ve seen a decent number of rumors for what looks to be Death Korps of Krieg! This could easily be the little companion to the command squad or even resting on his shoulder.

Obviously, Inquisitors do love their servo-skulls, so it could obviously be that.

Day 10: Space Elf Wings

Advent Rumor Engine 3

Let’s be honest; this looks quite like something for Eldar or Drukhari! We’ve been hearing rumors for a long time about more new Eldar and even rumors of Drukhari. While some people are saying it’s going to be for the Exodites, and even though we’ve heard some rumors about it, we’re not sure if that’s coming any time soon.

Day 13: That Skaven Has a Grenade!

Skaven Advent Engine

As we said, Skaven has appeared a lot already on this calendar, and they very much like to use bombs / grenades! They already have a unit throwing them; however, just like all their other miniatures, they are a bit dated and could all probably use a rework (even though they are still fantastic models).

Day 15: Death Korps of Krieg Get a New Banner

Advent Engine Imperial Guard 3

Well, we’re going to say this looks like a banner to us one way or the other, as these symbols look very Imperial! We’ve seen plenty of Death Korps of Krieg rumors and hints in the Advent Engine, so let’s start with the possibility of a banner for them.

Day 16: Spooky Potions

GW Advent Engine 5

At first glance, this looks very much something like Nighthaunts to us! While it could be something else for the Plague Monks, the hand and arm are so thin that it seems a safe bet to be something for the undead.

Day 19: Nurgle Spice Rack of Plagues & Potions

Potions GW Advent EngineWell, bells are a staple of Nurgle (both in rat and Maggotkin form), but the rest of those potions look deadly and most likely carry some plagues! Of course, this could also be something for the Nighthaunt faction, like a new character.

Day 20: A Sword For The Old World

GW Advent Sword

First off, it looks like some armored fist, and there is no real notion of nodes for a power sword. GW has already said the Empire will triumphantly return to Fantasy, and this looks like a perfect weapon for them! However, we won’t rule out Stormcast, as this looks very similar to an existing kit.

Day 21: Kislev Returns (boots with the fur)

Kislev Advent Engine 4

This looks like a pretty fancy fur-lined boot. Even better, there is an old Kislev model that matches this exceptionally closely. You can also see in the groin area that this is a pair of bent legs, meaning it’s most likely a cavalry model that is meant to be mounted on top of a horse.

Day 23: A Last-Minute Gift

advent 2023 day 23While we hope no one wants this for Christmas, the Skaven sure does like this sort of thing! Blue Scribes would fit Chaos Daemons well, but poison is always more of Nurgle’s speed. Of course, it could be a symbol for just death, making some spooky boys under Nagash another possibility.

Unsolved Rumor Engines From 2024:

January 9th, 2024: Pokemon Charmander Cross Over

rumor engine 01-09-24

charmander

Looking at this engine right away, we chuckled because it looks like Charmander’s tail! But seeing as copyright exists, this is probably a plant on a base like Catachan or a model like Sylvaneth!

January 16th, 2024: Big Necron Magical Energy

rumor engine 01-16-24

Looking at this bit right away, it looks like energy of some kind, with the two biggest possibilities being something magical and arcane in AoS or even some big Necron electricity!

January 23rd, 2024: No Capes For Warhammer 40k

rumor engine 01-23-24

Looking at this bit right away, there’s no question that it’s a cloak. It does lack enough insignia or cloth work for us to lean toward 40k, but anything is possible! We think AoS or Warhammer The Old World are slightly more likely.

February 13th 2024: Nurgle’s Puss Sac

Here’s the latest GW Rumor Engine model on the way for 40k or AoS from Games Workshop.

rumor engine 02-13-24

Looking at this bit immediately, it looks uniquely gross, making it perfect for Nurgle. The front runners are Maggotkin, Nurgle Daemons, Deathguard, and, in turn, even Skaven. Additionally, a new terrain piece is another clear possibility.

March 12th 2024: Battle Sister Scrolling

Here’s the latest GW Rumor Engine on the way for 40k or AoS from Games Workshop.

rumor engine 03-12-24

Looking at this bit, we are reminded of Celestine, but her model is fairly recent and looks great, so probably not her.

March 19th 2024: Freshly Wetted Blade

Here’s the latest GW Rumor Engine from Games Workshop. As usual, there are some interesting possibilities for what it could be!

rumor engine 03-19-24

Looking at this bit, we can see a well-crafted blade with some liquid on it, the two most likely being blood or poison. That means Vampires, Chaos, Aelves, and Skaven in AoS or The Old World are all likely here!

March 26th 2024: Homage To The Great Horned Rat

Here’s the latest GW Rumor Engine from Games Workshop. As usual, there are some interesting possibilities for what it could be!

rumor engine 04-02-23

Looking at this bit, we can see what would normally be a clear-cut Sylvaneth bit. But GW had this to say:

With a sizzling new edition of Warhammer Age of Sigmar on its way, there’s bound to be loads of cool miniatures just waiting to appear in the Rumour Engine. We’re expecting something ratty this time, but our success rate for predicting what comes out is hovering around 0%.

That means while Sylvaneth is on the table, GW is having some fun and throwing a bone in the direction of Skaven!

April 2nd, 2024: A Skull Driver

rumor engine 03-26-24

Those little servos deserve more minis! We think this one is super clear: Imperium of Man, either a Servo Skull-dedicated mini or simply one accompanying a new miniature!

April 9th, 2024: Sisters Are In The Walls

Here’s the latest GW Rumor Engine from Games Workshop. As usual, there are some interesting possibilities for what it could be!

rumor engine 04-09-24

This new engine bit is so obviously Sisters of Battle-ish, but we think it could more likely be a terrain piece!

April 16th, 2024: Tassles For Nobility

Here’s the latest Rumor Engine from Games Workshop. As usual, there are some interesting possibilities for what it could be!

rumor engine 04-16-24

This new engine bit looks quite Aelvish. We think it’s more likely Lumineth Realm-lords, but it could also be the High Aelves in Old World.

April 23rd, 2024: Daemon Engine Big Metal Claws

Here’s the latest Rumor Engine from Games Workshop. As usual, there are some interesting possibilities for what it could be!

rumor engine 04-23-24

This new engine bit looks quite a bit like some Daemon Engines we’ve seen before. We think it’s most likely a new model or perhaps a creative re-work of a certified classic needing an uplift.

April 30th, 2024: GW’s Big Necron Energy Teaser

Here’s the latest Rumor Engine from Games Workshop. As usual, there are some interesting possibilities for what it could be!

rumor engine 04-30-24

This new engine bit looks quite a bit like the energy on some of the larger Necron models or even some Seraphon minis!

May 7th, 2024: New Dragon, or Scaled & Spiked Again?

rumor engine 05-07-24

Looking at this engine, we are immediately reminded of plenty of beasts in AoS, such as Chaos, Squigs, Stormcast Dragons, and maybe even a new Lizardman! There is tons of potential here.

May 14th, 2024: Chaos Engines Walking

rumor engine 05-14-24

First, looking at this bit, we thought the joint looked familiar, but we were unable to locate it. Otherwise, it definitely looks like part of the model matching another rumor engine bit a few weeks ago! From the looks of it, a new Chaos Engine in 40k is most likely!

As the excitement surrounding the latest Games Workshop Rumor Engine reveals continues to build, miniature hobbyists eagerly await the resolution of the remaining teasers. With each new image, the anticipation grows, fueling speculation and discussion within the community.

When can we expect Games Workshop to reveal the remaining teasers?

warhammer community preview wal hor title 1200 words

Games Workshop typically releases new Rumor Engine teasers each Tuesday. New releases are regularly revealed in their (roughly) monthly preview streams on Twitch, so it’s difficult to predict exactly when the remaining teasers will be unveiled. However, hobbyists can expect new reveals to generate excitement and speculation within the community whenever they occur.

How accurate are community theories about the identity of the unidentified miniatures?

rumor engine 2-12-19 1

Community theories vary widely in accuracy, ranging from well-reasoned predictions based on evidence to wild speculation fueled by imagination. While some theories may prove correct, others may miss the mark entirely. Only time will tell which theories are accurate once Games Workshop officially reveals the remaining teasers.

Are Rumor Engine teasers always indicative of upcoming releases, or are they sometimes red herrings?

kragnos rumor engine

While Rumor Engine teasers often hint at upcoming releases, it’s worth noting that Games Workshop occasionally uses them as red herrings to mislead or surprise the community. Not every teaser may result in a corresponding product release; sometimes, multiple Rumor Engines all belong to one model, adding an element of unpredictability to the speculation surrounding each image.

Whether dissecting clues, sharing theories, or simply reveling in the excitement of the unknown, hobbyists worldwide eagerly await the next weekly reveal from Games Workshop.
