Here is the pricing and lineup for this week’s new Cities of Sigmar Army Box, Seraphon, and Black Library pre-orders!

Get those hobby dollars ready if you want any of these new releases from Games Workshop that will go up for pre-order with your favorite retailers on Saturday, August 26th, 2023, around 1 pm EST.

New AoS Cities of Sigmar Army Box, Seraphon, & More Pricing CONFIRMED!

We’ve seen Cities of Sigmar previews for a really long time now, so it’s great to actually be able to order the army box! Plus, the Seraphon Vanguard box is also on the way, which has some decent value inside.

Here are all the details from Warhammer Community.

Cities of Sigmar Launch Army Box Set: $200 €155 £120

Your first chance to get your hands on the brand new Cities of Sigmar miniatures and battletome is nearly here, with a jam-packed Army Set coming to pre-order on Saturday. Two units of 10 Steelhelms and five Cavaliers muster around a Freeguild Marshal and his attendant Alchemite Warforger.

We’ve known about these models for quite a while now, but finally getting their release is still exciting!

In addition to the miniatures, this set contains a special edition of the new battletome with an exclusive cover, a deck of warscroll cards for all 52 Cities of Sigmar units, and four transfer sheets covered in iconography for your city of choice.

It’s hands-down the best way to start a new Cities of Sigmar army, or update your existing one with heaps of new units.

With a complete set of all new models and a full rules update, this box is a big deal for anyone waiting for good ‘ol humans to get their update in Age of Sigmar.

Vanguard Seraphon: $140 €110 £85

If you prefer your warriors of Order with a few more scales and forked tongues, Vanguard: Seraphon has the models you need to enact the will of the Old Ones. A fearsome Saurus Oldblood commands a hard-hitting, durable force from the back of his Carnosaur, unleashing three hulking Kroxigors and 10 Saurus Warriors to bury the hordes of Chaos under a rain of clubs, claws, and teeth.

Featuring the new model updates, this is the perfect place to start with some detailed minis for new Seraphon Generals!

Combat Arena: Lair of the Beast: GW Direct & Select Webstores

Lair of the Beast pits a rogue’s gallery of unlikely heroes – previously only available in Warhammer Quest: Blackstone Fortress – against a monstrous Ambull in gruelling combat, and is releasing this Saturday in the USA and Germany. Likewise, Space Marine: The Board Game released in the United States earlier this year, and now comes to retailers across Germany and Japan

Three classic Warhammer board games are also releasing in Chinese for the first time. Blitz Bowl: Ultimate Edition, Combat Arena: Clash of Champions, and Warhammer Quest: Lost Relics are all set to launch this Saturday in stockists across China, offering exciting gameplay in tight, fast-paced bursts.

A new board game may not be the most exciting for some, but they are usually pretty cheap and fairly fun for unique alternatives to playing in the Warhammer Universe! Also, tons of language updates for other products are always great to see as they help grow the Warhammer hobby worldwide.

Loyalist Champion Consul: Forge World Direct $43 €35 £27.50 (estimated)

The greatest duelists in the Loyalist Legions were responsible for reaping a fierce toll against Traitor commanders, pairing their mastery of swordsmanship with finely forged greatblades. These Champion Consuls can cross blades with the mightiest Praetors and emerge victorious, making them an invaluable asset for armies whose commanders keep their eye on the bigger picture.

New characters are always fun, especially when they can be played in multiple factions, giving everyone who plays the game something to consider.

Warriors of the Freeguilds: $25 Black Library Stockists

Get immersed in the Cities of Sigmar spirit with a new Black Library omnibus collection of Sigmarite stories from across the realms. Nick Horth, Josh Reynolds, and Evan Dicken all contribute tales from short stories to a full-length novel, following members of the Freeguilds as they pit sword and shot against the myriad horrors of the Mortal Realms.

Pairing up with the Amry Box release, pick this up if you want to read up on all the Cities of Sigmar lore! (well, some of it, anyway…)
