New Model Monday: Redemptionist for Necromunda

new-model-mondays-rumor-engineWith the reveal of a new Redemptionist for Necromunda, we know the newest gang coming to the game – check it out!

Warhammer Community just unveiled a new mini and confirmed an old gang returning to the Underhive! If you haven’t heard about New Model Mondays, you can check out what it’s all about here. But basically, every Monday they reveal a mini for an upcoming release that’s still a little way out.

Some of them will be from previous Rumor Engines, so be on the lookout for some of your favorites to pop up in their full glory.

Redemptionist 3This week though, we are getting a sweet reveal for Necromunda. First, we’ll look at all the teasers leading up to this and then, of course, take a look at the new mini! Let’s get into it!

New Model Monday Reveals Redemptionist for Necromunda

2021 roadmapWell, we at least know when we’ll be seeing the new line coming out! Q4 isn’t terribly far off, and it’s nice to know when they’ll actually show up.

Redemptionists cults

Not too many other cults would be seen just lifting books up to the sky in the middle of battle, but when you have to bring redemption to the masses, you need your books ready.

Redemption kitThe old Redemptionists have plenty of weapons that match up perfectly with these types of weapons. So, it looks like they’ll keep the style of the old minis, but give them a new flair! And the new mini has plenty of flair.

The New Mini

Redemptionist

Redemptionist 2You can add the Redemptionists to existing Cawdor gangs, or you can make a new one made up entirely of these religious fanatics and spread faith at the end of an exterminator, fire pike, or eviscerator.* And you thought that House Cawdor was difficult to deal with when they were just bringing Bomb Delivery Rats to the party.

The model sure looks crazy and we love all the flames! You can just align them with Cawdor, but why do that when you could build an entire gang around them? The giant flamer he’s carrying looks to be quite deadly, and we can’t wait to see more of the line in the coming months.

Comparing Them to Old Minis

redemptionists gangWell, they look to be keeping very in line with the old minis and are just updating them to today’s standard of minis. If you look at this and compare them to the weapon pics from the WC post, they are so similar.

First up, the Eviscerator Chainsword looks just like a revamped version of the old one with the flamer on the inside instead of on the bottom. Even the back handle is identical, which we love to see the old-style carrying over.

Are you excited about them being confirmed? Will you be picking up the gang when they come out?
