AdeptiCon Tickets 2025: Badges to Get You Started
Before you start playing, you’ll need an AdeptiCon badge. These badges are your (literal) ticket to the convention’s massive lineup of activities. Here are your options:
- Core Badge ($65):
- Access to the convention for all five days
- Registration for events (fees vary by event)
- Free events, demos, and open gaming areas
- Painting competition entries
- Ability to check out games from the Board Game Library
- Advanced Badge ($175, Limited to 2,000):
- Includes everything in the Core Badge
- A guaranteed swag bag, even if you register later
- AdeptiCon-exclusive pin badge, coaster, and miniature
- Exhibitor Badge (Free):
- For registered exhibitors
- Includes full convention access and other perks
You don’t need a badge if you’re simply there to observe or browse exhibitor booths. However, badges are required to play events, attend seminars, or use open gaming tables. So, if you want to do more than just look around, you will need one.
Top Events to Look Out For
The Long War Doubles Tournament
A favorite among fans, the Long War Doubles Tournament allows teams of two players to bring a combined 2000-point army, split into individual 1000-point forces. The only hard rule? Your army must meet the three-color painting minimum with proper basing.
Each team will receive two sets of Green Long War Logo Dice, from Baron of Dice, packed in a sleek metal tin with EVA foam for safe storage. These square-cornered dice are exclusive to the event and make a great collectible.
Key Details:
- Only one team captain needs to purchase the team event ticket.
- All team members must have an AdeptiCon badge to participate.
The Warhammer Preview
If you’re a fan of Warhammer, don’t miss the Warhammer Preview hosted by Games Workshop. This free special event is packed with exclusive content and exciting announcements about the future of the Warhammer universe. Held in the Baird Ballroom, it’s the perfect way to kick off your AdeptiCon experience.
Warhammer 40K Championship
Get ready for one of the most competitive events at AdeptiCon. The Warhammer 40k Championship features a unique structure designed to test even the most strategic players.
Day 1:
- Players will bring a 2000-point force and play four games (2 hours and 45 minutes each).
- Awards will be given out on Thursday night.
Day 2:
- The top 32 players advance to the Championship Bracket for up to four more games.
The two undefeated finalists will face off on Saturday at 8:00 PM for the ultimate championship title. If you don’t make the cut for the finals, don’t worry—AdeptiCon offers a packed schedule of other events to fill your weekend.
More Than Just Tournaments
Beyond competitions, AdeptiCon is also about community and learning. You’ll find hands-on hobby classes covering everything from painting miniatures to terrain building.
