Hot off the presses, here comes Regicide ready to fill your Warhammer 40k craving with a mix of Classic Wargaming and your favorite grim dark future.

What’s Regicide you ask? Well, I know there seem to be bakers dozen coming out this month alone, this is one is basically 1 part chess, 1 part Shinning Force, and one part 40K baked in the Eye of Terror at 350 billion degrees.

You can check out the trailer here but essentially you have a chessboard and the pieces have standard 40k munitions from Assault cannons to chainswords, and everything in between. Oh, and you get to play as Blood Angels, not sure how you can go wrong with that.

Having not played it, I can’t tell you if it’s amazing or not, but for what it’s worth, we did get a post from one of the producers over at Spikey Bits’ Hobbies so they certainly looking to engage the community.

“Hey guys! I’m a Producer over at Hammerfall Publishing, and today we’ve released WH40K Regicide on iOS!” Ally McLean, a producer at Hammer Publishing said. “Wanted to share it with you early in case anyone wants to pick it up while all of our DLC is still totally free.”

McLean added that even if you don’t own an iOS device you can grab it on Steam for under five dollars.

“Let me know if you’d ever like to play a match or give me some feedback about our title!” McLean said, “Always trying to connect more with the community.”

(Guess you’ll have to join the group over at Spikey Bits Hobbies to friend her.)

You can grab your copy of Regicide over on iTunes  or on Steam
