What is Warzone: Atlanta?
Warzone: Atlanta is hosted in…you guessed it…Atlanta, Georgia and brings in players from all the farthest corners of the planet to get some five-star gaming in. What do we mean by that? It’s fluffy gaming with a splash of competitiveness. Most people flex their best-painted stuff even if it isn’t the most min-maxed list it could possibly be. There are all sorts of minigames that go on throughout the day that everyone can participate in. It’s really just an all-around great event.
Warzone: Atlanta Unveils Their New Website
While you can still go to their Facebook Page for all sorts of details and updates, why not go directly to the source? Their website is new and geared towards 2019 altogether.
On Friday, May 3rd, 2019, you’ll be able to access the online store and purchase things like tickets for all events. In the meantime, here’s what the Warzone team has to say about their upcoming events:
The Rules of Engagement (FAQ), 2019 Army Construction Rules (including deadlines), the 2019 Model Policy, and the 2019 Sportsmanship Rubric have all been updated and are available in the Resources section.
The updated 2019 Mission Primer and the updated 2019 Appearance Rubric will be posted as soon as they are ready, which should be in a few days. In the meantime, the 2018 Mission Primer is currently available on the site, and all of its contents (albeit with some minor modifications) will be in the 2019 Mission Primer.
What Can We Look Forward To At Warzone: Atlanta?
Warzone: Atlanta is going to be hosting three major events in 2019.
- Friday, November 8th. The Long War Doubles: two players bring differed 1,000 pt armies together as a team against other pairs of two. Find out more here:
- Friday, November 8th. Last but not least, The Warhammer Underworlds Tournament: this is following all the basic rules of Warhammer Underworlds and will be played in three rounds.
- Saturday, November 9th. The Grand Tournament: a 2,000 pt Battleforged army is required.
Whether you like to play by yourself and all your 2,000 pt-army glory or you’d rather link arms with a battle buddy and go head-to-head against other teams, it’ll be an exciting time for any 40k player. As for the Warhammer Underworlds fans, you’ll be able to test your Warbands against some of the other top decks.
