Today we would like to give you a closer look at the two top competing consoles on the market and prepare you for the upcoming Holiday Season!
With two new consoles it may be hard to decide which one to purchase for the upcoming Holiday Season, so we would like to provide you with a little information about both. The goal of this article is not to directly compare, or persuade people one way or the other, but it’s aimed to provide the stats, and some information.
First up, let’s take a look at the Playstation Pro, which is probably the biggest we have seen in awhile. One of the biggest differences between the PS4 and the PS4 Pro is that the Pro supports 4k. But what does this mean to those of us who don’t yet own a 4K TV or monitor? Well since all recent and new PS4 titles are required to support the new “Pro” mode, we will see somewhat of an increase in graphic quality even without having a 4K TV.
The new PS4 Pro runs games faster than the PS4 did, resulting in less framerate tears during more intensive gameplay.
While both the PS4 and the PS4 Pro support the new PSVR, many game development companies have expressed some disappointment in the PS4’s performance and have highly recommended the upgrade to the Pro.

Next let’s take a look at the Xbox One S. The first thing that needs to be pointed out is the drastic reduction in size from the Xbox One! No longer are you forced to look over at that huge refrigerator box of a console, we are all used to seeing, because the new Xbox One S is a whopping 40% smaller than its former. I’m not sure about the rest of you, but this is incredible to me! The Xbox One S also comes in three different storage sizes, 500gb, 1tb, and 2tb, giving more options and a different price point to match all of our financial needs.
All of your Kinect fans should be aware of, and will possibly be upset with, the loss of a dedicated Kinect port. But on the upside the upgraded AC wireless controllers offer an increased range and exchangeable covers for a lot of customization.
The Xbox One S is not a true 4k gaming setup. Instead the 1080p games are upscaled to 4K and claims to be able to keep up with PS4 Pros 4K support.
