Hive City Chapel $36.80
The Hive City Chapel is the kit from Terrain Scenics that we are unboxing today. It has a moderate difficulty notice when putting this kit together. The kit is made out of HDF (High-Density Fiberboard), which is a high-quality wood particulate that is construction grade, even being used in engineering! The Chapel comes on 1 large sprue and 2 smaller sprues that are laser cut.
You can punch the pieces off of their sprues, but we prefer to use a hobby knife to be very careful not to break any pieces. PVA glue (Elmer’s) or wood glue works great to assemble your Chapel. The kit thankfully comes with very detailed instructions, so don’t worry if this terrain piece seems daunting to put together.
This terrain kit is a hobby within a hobby due to its complexity and attention to detail required. It may take a while to put together, but assembling our hobby models is a joyful part of our experience. Once it is fully assembled, you can prime it just like your plastic models. A matte coat will seal this Hive City Chapel and will allow the paint to stick on it well. Coming in a 7 inches tall when all put together, the separate floors add so much depth. Its level of design is impeccable and clocks in at 4 or 5 hours to fully complete.
