Get ready for some interestingly bloody and spooky Nighthaunt models from Age of Sigmar, painted by talented White Metal Games!
If you are an Age of Sigmar fan and happen to like the Nighthaunts, then you won’t want to miss this latest painting showcase from White Metal Games. These models have been painted in a non-traditional Nighthaunt scheme, and look great with some bloody natural tones!
At the White Metal Games studios, Preston walks us through the different units in this army and the paint scheme used for these Nighthuant models. Traditionally, Nighthaunt models are painted in a spectral glowing green or blue, but they wanted to try a different approach with this army. Instead, the White Metal Games painting crew opted for a warmer paint scheme utilizing brighter colors.
If you have noticed, most Nighthaut models have sheets, hailing from the old-fashioned bed sheet Halloween type ghost themes of old. White Metal Games took that inspiration to add some bloody gore to their Nighhaunt models, leaning towards Flesh Eater Courts. Another way of looking at it is that these Nighthaunts have used the tattered and bloody table sheets from the Flesh Eater Courts dining arrangements, and used them to cover their own spectral bodies in spooky gore.
Nighthaunt models have three distinct areas on their models: an upper sheet that has a more fabric type feel, the lower parts of their ethereal sheets that achieve the spectral flow, and their bony fleshy parts. So the painting scheme was used to accentuate these models, using a nice white sheet to start at the top, and achieving a bloody nasty gory feel on the bottom of their sheets.
The skin areas of the Nighthaunt models in this army are slick with new blood and gore and contrast well with the dry sheets that soak up the gore. Don’t forget to check out more painting commissions from White Metal Games!
