Painting red is super easy when there is blood everywhere! Khorne Berserkers are particularly fond of the color red, so pay attention to this tutorial!
We are kicking off our red tutorial Khorne Berserker style! Rocking some new paints from Spray Gunner, we have Chroma Colors hot and fresh out of our airbrush for a quick pre-shade. This eBay rescue model is not badly painted, so we are painting right over his previous coat. Gangsta style.
Start off with the Chroma Black to get a thin coat over the whole Berserker. It doesn’t matter if a little of the previous paint job shows through after you follow up with Chroma Grey. In a top-down Zenithal Highlight, the Chroma White finishes up our pre-painting work on this model.
Our secret product for our reds is Acrysion. This Mr. Hobby product is mixed with an Acrysion paint thinner to achieve a glossy red pigment. Once loaded in your airbrush, go with 100 percent air to get a super thin red coat. The thin highlights with this gloss paint will accentuate our washing later.
Pro Acryl Bronze starts off our brass trim painting on our Khorne Berserker. Pro Acryl Light Bronze adds even more edge highlighting to bring our brass up to 11. Pro Acryl Silver adds some nice touches to our Chainaxe teeth and bandoliers. Pro Acryl Light Umber is a great base coat for our Khorne Berserker face.
Pro Acryl Ivory brings our face together, just in time for a Mr. Hobby weathering wash. Add this multi-black wash over your Berserker to get some shading and he’s all set for the table! Stay tuned for more awesome painting tutorials and videos from Next Level Painting!
