eBay Miniature Rescues is a unique channel that shows you how to take beat up, damaged minis, and restore them to their fullest potential!

It’s a relatively new channel on YouTube and it’s super fun to watch what Casey is able to do with some once hopeless miniatures. This week, he shows us how he’s finishing up the knight he was working on last time.

Rescuing an Imperial Knight: eBay Miniatures Rescue Tutorial

knight primed and prehighlightAfter disassembling the knight and priming it black, do a quick two-tone highlight with your airbrush, first with grey, followed by white. After that, hit all of the parts with a gloss varnish.

Using the larger makeup brush and Citadel Retributor Armour, paint most of the skeleton but ignore the shadows. Next up, take Liquitex Burnt Umber and airbrush essentially the entire skeleton to give the shadows and gold more variation. Daler Rowney FW Dark Green plus Violet Veloursshould be applied very minimally to the gold to add even more variation, however, make sure to keep the coat light.

To tie all the colors together take Citadel Leadbelcher and drybrush the skeleton top-down. Then take Vallejo Aluminum and drybrush the brightest areas. Our wash for the skeleton is going to be Vallejo Rust followed by Testors Enamel Stain Black.

As for the armor panels, we covered his previous video showing you how to finish those and get better with stencils last time here. Then, assemble the knight!
