The Rapid Deployment Fast Paint Systems come in a variety of faction suited paints: Germans, Soviet, British, and the U.S. There is even a Core Paint Set that covers the main spectrum of their colors. The Core Paint Set is a great start to get you all the basic colors that can be used to paint up pretty much any faction you choose. Most notably, an Army Painter Strong Tone pot is included in the Core Set to get some quick shading done.
We will be using the German Paint Set to paint up a German soldier. After a matte black priming, our soldier will get a coat of German Army Fieldgrey to cover his uniform. After 2 coats, our German soldier is starting to look like a traditional green Army man. Add a little German Helmet Green to paint up his helmet and you are done with the uniform.
Next up is to paint the skin. Caucasian Skin is our color from Warlord and it may take a few extra coats. keep your coats nice and thin to make sure your paints are smooth. To paint up his rifle, Wood Brown is used to get a nice brown tone. After the rifle wood is painted up, it’s time to do the iron sights and metal portions.
Gun Metal works great to lock in all those details and add some contrast to our model.
Lastly, paint the leather straps and boots with some Zeltbahn Camo Brown. To finish everything all up, grab your Army Painter Strong Tone to give your model some shading.
