Checkout the latest rumors on the Dark Angel and Blood Angels codex book release dates and a recap new miniatures that are on the way for December!
December’s release picture is starting to “snap” into focus with some convenient sightings of the new White Dwarf that is due on shelves next week. Astute hobbyists have commented on how the codex books are also releasing next month, and yet there were no pictures spotted of those dates…
So then we made the follow up predictions on our podcast Nov 22nd:
December Games Workshop Release Schedule
Text in bold is confirmed. Red is WILD speculation based on my irritable bowels Dec 2nd: Chapter Approved, White Dwarf and Battleforce Bundles
- Dec 9th: Blood Angels Codex & Primaris Releases (NOW CONFIRMED)
- Dec 16th: Dark Angels Codex ???
- Dec 23rd: ETB Kits & Marbo
- Jan 1: New Years Day Open 2018? (NOW CONFIRMED)
Now we’re hearing the following rumor from Faeit:
White Dwarf came early! I can confirm that White Dwarf says Dec. 2nd pre-order for Blood Angels and Dec. 9th release. Dark Angels are Dec. 9th pre-ordet and Dec. 16th release.
WD also comes with special cards for Shadespire, Blood Bowl, and what looks like Shadows over Hamerhal (not sure on this last set)
Why no pictures were provided of the White Dwarf coverage in this age of the Camera phones, or if this “source” just heard our random speculation from last week is unclear. However what is clear is the fact these books are on the way soon for sure.
Can you keep a secret? Well I hope the Dark Angels can because it looks like they are getting some reinforcements to their ranks this December.
According to GW there are a ton of new shinys on the way for us next month:
- 2 New Primaris Lieutenants
- New Stormcast Celestant
- Sly Marbo
- Blight Hauler
- ETB: Agressors & Redemptor
- Cohort of Felthius
We kicked off 2017 with the release of several heroes of the Imperium – and this December the Indomitus Crusade is reinforced by two of the First Founding Chapters, both of which will be spearheaded by a unique Primaris Space Marine Lieutenant.
These guys will be released alongside their respective codexes, which will both be out before the year is over.
Talking of Primaris Space Marines, adding these enhanced warriors to your Chapter (Blood Angels, Dark Angels or otherwise) is about to get a lot easier thanks to some new Easy to Build kits. If you’re a fan of flamers (and who isn’t?), the Easy to Build Primaris Aggressors are for you, while the 12 piece – that’s right, only 12 – Redemptor Dreadnought allows you to get some heavy armour on the tabletop in no time.
We’re very happy to confirm that Sly Marbo is back.
$25 Releases Dec 23rd
Grandfather Nurgle will be providing for his children this Christmas as well. Isn’t he generous? New Easy to Build reinforcements are on the way for the Death Guard – and yes, the Myphitic Blight-hauler is among them! This little guy possesses the same grotesque, whimsical charm as the rest of Nurgle’s children, combined with some terrifying firepower. It will be joined by a boxed set featuring three new Blightlord Terminators and a new Lord of Contagion wielding a manreaper – perfect for adding some disgusting diversity to the elite of your Death Guard army.
Myphitic Blight-Hauler $25 Pre-Order Dec 16th, Release Dec 23rd
Cohort of Felthius: $40 Pre-Order Dec 16th, Release Dec 23rd
Meanwhile, in the Mortal Realms, the Stormcast Eternals are receiving a new Lord-Celestant, featuring (for the first time) a bare head and a shield. If you’re looking to field an elite army with lots of commanders, or just want to make your leaders a little more durable against shooting, this guy is for you.
So just like we saw last week, it looks like the Death Guard and Primaris are in for some more new releases soon along with Sly Marbo on the same day as well:
So can we can expect to see new easy to build kits (ETB) for the Redemptor Dread, Aggressors, Lord Felthid and his court, and the Plague Hauler all on December 23rd? Aside from the
