28mm Scouts from Artel W: Unboxing & Build

Sample of MinisThese are just some of the great minis you can get on Artel W’s site. They have over 20 pages of minis and are pumping out new stuff all the time! We’ve also covered a bunch of their releases, so if you want some more info you can check it out here.

Scout’n’Recon Squad x5: $49.99

Scout Squad

Artel W ScoutsThese minis are well made, look great, and make a great alternative for the normal minis. Now that they’re elites, might as well have them look the part! They also have a bunch of different options, you can add more scouts, and you can even grab special characters for the Scouts as well. Also, the more you get, the more you save. So if you want three squads, you get them for $40 apiece on top of the other deals they have going on.

Artel W Shipping stuffJust a quick note, they are out of Russia so it can take some time every once in a while for shipping. To offset this, they offer free shipping on orders over $100 dollars and give you more discounts depending on how much you buy. So it’s worth it to grab all your stuff in one go and get some sweet discounts. Now back to the mini!

The Box:

Artel W Box

Bubble WrapOne of the coolest parts about getting minis from Artel W is the box! Each one comes wrapped in twine and hand sealed, just a really fun little addition. Each mini is also very well wrapped and taken care of.

The Parts

Artel W Parts

Scout Parts

Scout Gun

Scout LegsThey send you the parts in baggies with similar parts in each one. Right off the bat, you can see how amazingly detailed each piece is. The resin is also super high-quality, washed, and easy to build. You can use these as a bunch of things, but the best value seems to be the smaller scouts.

The Minis!

Assembled Scouts 2

Assembled ScoutsThey go together very quickly and have almost no gaps. There are tons of details all over the minis and they look so much better than most models out there.

Assembled Scouts 3

Special Weapons ScoutsThis is the heavy weapon option and it looks just as amazing! It comes with options for either the Rocket or grenade launcher. The value for these really comes in for the smaller-scaled scouts, Necromunda, or any skirmish game. You can get the bigger scaled ones, but they seem more worthwhile on the smaller scale.

Size Comparisons

Size comparison scoutsSince they are a smaller scale, they are obviously smaller than the Primaris Marine. The scaling is right, the poses are awesome, and the minis are just amazing!

That’s it for this one, be sure to watch the full video for Rob’s breakdown and insights. Overall they are great minis and with all the discounts you can get from Artel W they are super worth it! Especially with things being so scarce on the plastic side of things, it could be time to look at the resin manufacturers out there.
