The tournament is over, and now we can look at which lists managed to secure a place at the top! Check out what these winners brought in their armies with our commentary on their selections. 3rd Place: Johnny Zoo – Chaos Space Marines
2nd Place: Tony Phillips – Sisters of Battle
1st Place: Derek Apsche – Chaos Space Marines
Cypher led Derek’s list for a good skirmisher who happens to nerf your opponent’s stratagems, three Dark Commune for cheap bodies and leaders for some Cultist units down the list, and lastly, Fabius Bile for a pretty big buff to a unit’s durability that he leads.
Basic troops start with five Cultist Mobs for some cheap bodies to help wound soak and cap objectives.
Six Traitor Guardsmen squads also add cheap bodies, this time with a hint of more ranged firepower than the cultists.
A single Rhino adds a transportation option that excels in the early turns of the game. Three units of Acursed Cultists bring some more cheap bodies, this time with the purpose of being led by the Dark Communes to squeeze out extra value.
The allies in this list include a Beast of Nurgle and Nurglings to wound soak, plus Daemonettes and Seekers for some melee power.
