Brand new 40k Drukhari Mandrakes are coming alongside Chaos Night Lords inside the 40k Kill Team Nightmare box set.
It sounds like the new season of Kill Team is off to an intense start with the crash of the space hulk Gallowdark into Bheta-Decima forge world. Space Marine Scouts and Aeldari Aspect Warriors are already fighting over crucial information on the planet’s sea platforms. Now, with the release of Kill Team: Nightmare, we’ll see two of the most terrifying forces in the galaxy go head-to-head in an epic battle of fear.
Games Workshop LVO 2024 Preview & Reveals!
If you’re attending the event in person, you’ll get your look earlier than everyone else, but don’t worry if you can’t make it – we’ll broadcast the full preview shortly afterwards. Since the event is in the evening in Las Vegas, you’ll be able to catch us here at Warhammer Community or at the Warhammer Twitch channel from 12am EST/5am GMT.
Once again, the LVO preview will be very late/super early in the morning. However, the time works out pretty well for everyone in Australia and Japan! This is what Warhammer TV and Warhammer Community had to say about the new Kill Team box, along with our commentary on it!
Drukhari Mandrakes & Night Lords Kill Team Box Confirmed By GW!
Now, for the first time, the Mandrakes will have a plastic kit, and for Drukhari players, this is something they’ve all been waiting for!
We heard rumors about this for a while, but it’s so much better to actually have the miniatures confirmed by Games Workshop!
From the looks of it, they have a bunch of awesome poses and much more diversity than the finecast models.
40k Kill Team Nightmare Box
This packed box contains two complete Kill Teams – the horrifying Nemesis Claw warband of the Night Lords that we saw at the World Championships of Warhammer, and a brand new coven of Drukhari Mandrakes.
The Night Lords are transformed by a new upgrade sprue, draped in flayed skins, barbed hooks, and flensed skulls. New parts bring a variety of vicious weapons favoured by the sons of Konrad Curze – including a wicked chainglaive, barbed talons, and knives dripping with paralysing toxins.
Like with most of the Kill Team boxes, you will also get some terrain to go with the models.
The best part is that if you don’t want to grab the Kill Team Nightmare box, they will eventually be available separately as well.
Night Lords Rise in the 40k Kill Team Nightmare Box!
The kit itself uses the phenomenal Chaos Space Marines as a base and adds an extra-large upgrade sprue full of macabre tchotchkes, from draped skins and trophies to winged helmets and flensing blades.
The Night Lords haven’t received much love from GW recently, so it’s nice to see them get an upgrade sprue to show off their true colors!
You’ll also find new wargear for building unique Nemesis Claws operatives – like the Ventrilokar icon bearer, who carries a sorcerous totem built from the ruined corpse of a murdered Space Marine. His puppet’s corrupted omophagea can mimic the voices of anyone whose flesh it consumes – a truly unnerving party trick.
It seems like we’ll actually get some new 40k rules this time around, which is nice!
The new Kill Team: Nightmare box set from Games Workshop features the Drukhari Mandrakes and the Chaos Night Lords in an intense battle on the Bheta-Decima forge world. The box includes new plastic miniatures for the Mandrakes and an upgrade sprue for the Night Lords. The kit also comes with terrain pieces and new wargear options. The release of this box set is highly anticipated by hobbyists, and it’s exciting to see these two terrifying forces in the galaxy go head-to-head in an intense battle.
