A few weeks ago I can across a great airbrushing channel on You Tube showcasing some amazingly easy to do airbrush weathering techniques.
These were for creating some great realistic looking weathered tanks, and they really inspired me to get off my butt and work on some of my Super Heavies.
The reason I really like OPN’s YouTube Channel is because IMHO he presents it a way that makes it easy for a layperson to understand, and follow along. Heck after watching his video I ran out and got some of that Heavy Chipping Fluid and duplicated the effect myself on a spare rhino chassis.
I evened expanded on his techniques and created my own filter for washing down a recently painted Forge World Titan as well.
The part of his video I really wanted to share with you was on his second weathering tutorial around the 6:48 mark is the AK Streaking Grime he uses.
As you can see from the video, it’s a simply amazing way to ad depth and shadow to your minis, and is easily “erasable” as well.
Heck checkout how he inspired me to detail my Phantom Titan below, because let me tell you, conventional washing of that much surface area just does not work…

I have been painting for quite a few years now and over the last few years I have been sharing my passion for the hobby on youtube.
In my latest video series I wanted to show some really cool and easy techniques to achieve a realistic looking weathered tank. I use oil paints, enamel paints, enamel washes and other cool tools to help create a sense of realism with as little effort as possible.
