Arch has lots to say on Twitter / X about gatekeeping and that Nazis and communists should be welcome in Warhammer.
From Alex Jones to US politics, The Video Games awards, and more, Arch has a lot to say. But sometimes old habits die hard, as he circled back to Warhammer and gatekeeping.
Just a few years ago, he found himself in Games Workshop’s crosshairs as they, according to him, made him remove “Warhammer” from his YouTube channel name (and warned licensees about working with him).
It didnt take long for his similarly branded Twitter to go down as well.
Then, after going on all sorts of political rants on his new Twitter/ X, he is back to Warhammer, with lots to say.
Before woke there was no sign on the GW stores door. After woke the new sign now reads "Warhammer is for every one, but only if you agree" Our only mistake was not gatekeeping harder and earlier https://t.co/xOQxv8UrMg

Nazis & Communists Okay In Warhammer Now?
Does this cycle sound familiar?
It’s because we’ve been here before when, just a few years back, a Warhammer 40k tournament allowed a player to wear “clothes with Nazi symbols,”
If you’re wearing hate symbols at miniature hobby events where you make tons of people uncomfortable, it’s going to get noticed. We’ve talked extensively about the problems with it, and were not the only ones that addressed this issue:
(Goonhammer) Editor’s Note: After publishing this article we have received multiple comments to the effect that a player wearing clearly identifiable neo-nazi iconography participated in the Talavera event, and was not removed despite complaints from other players. We would like to unequivocally state that turning up to an event wearing such iconography should be grounds for immediate disqualification, and the TOs should have taken action in this case. This does not affect any of the players covered in this article, but we would not have covered this event had we known about this ahead of time.
We would like to emphasise that nazis of any stripe are not welcome in the hobby or on this website, and can fuck off.
We agreed, and then so did Games Workshop, who just days after this event, put out their Warhammer is for Everyone Statement:
Regardless, Arch has circled back to Warhammer, as he still continues to Tweet and publish Warhammer videos to this day despite all the continued controversy.
The opinions of his posts on Twitter/ X overall seem to be pretty mixed. It’s also interesting to point out that he does not link to these posts on his YouTube or Patreon pages, perhaps to keep his revenue stream separate from potential disruption due to his extreme outbursts on his socials.
Everyone knows if you are a content creator, you link your socials; it’s promotion 101.
Make no mistake; however, Warhammer and the hobby of wargames miniatures is not for Nazis, Politics (such as PETA’s shenanigans), or hate of any kind.
The time for action is now, with no quarter asked for or given. Keep the hobby space and its communities safe from hate-filled incidents like these, and we will all be better for it!
