Warzone Atomic Empire hosted a 40k Grand Tournament recently and this Nurgle-pledged army spread the good word at the event.

Warzone Atomic Empire was run by East Coast hobby maniacs Horton and Twitchell. At over 50 players the event attracted some stunning armies that we captured for you.

Papa Nurgle brought the pain to the tabletop and he didn’t skimp on armor. The player brought two Leviathans with two Butcher Canons a pop. Notice the three Predators in the back too? Someone was planning on using some Killshot stratagems.

Because of this, he made sure to bring plenty of infantry swarms that just won’t seem to die. As you can guess, spamming Plaguebearers and Nurglings to hold objectives actually works.

As a bonus, they’re the perfect kind of unit to screen vehicles with. To maximize their nastiness, he brought a few Nurgle Daemons like the Sloppity Bilepiper (yes that’s actually its name) to give them extra attacks and that much-needed speed.

Running the little guys up the field under the cover of 40 autocannon shots a turn and 3 predators focusing in on armor helped secure some wins. Plague bearers seem to be a staple in any Nurgle list and he made sure to bring some. Oozing sores and a thick cloud of fumes carried this army into battle. What’s your favorite model in the army?

Warzone Atomic Empire event may be over but the Warzone Atlanta is coming up soon! Get cracking on your army to have it in tip-top shape for Warzone’s next event. At the end of the day, Warhammer is a hobby as much as it is a game on the tabletop.

Warzone Atlanta will be held on November 9-11th so grab your ticket and tidy up your army. We hope to see you there.
