We are going to show you everything that the models come with, how long they take to build, and some size comparisons.  That way you can decide if this box is worth your hard-earned hobby dollars. Let’s go!

The first version of this unboxing used some old video footage, whoopsie. Thanks to everyone who pointed out our error.

Artel W Crimson Legion: Unboxing & Build

Sample of MinisThese are just some of the great minis you can get on Artel W’s site. They have over 20 pages of minis and are pumping out new stuff all the time! We’ve also covered a bunch of their releases, so if you want some more info you can check it out here.

Crimson Legion Shock Squad: $49.99

Artel W Crimson LegionThe whole squad is amazing looking and like with all of their stuff, they are super high-quality resin and look great. They are a little more expensive than normal, but for how great they look, all the options you get, and free shipping over a hundred it becomes well more worthwhile! Since they ship out of Russia they give you a bunch of extra incentives for spending a little more.

Artel W Shipping stuffJust a quick note, they are out of Russia so it can take some time every once in a while for shipping. To offset this, they offer free shipping on orders over $100 dollars and give you more discounts depending on how much you buy. So it’s worth it to grab all your stuff in one go and get some sweet discounts. Now back to the mini!

The Box:

Artel W Box

Bubble WrapOne of the coolest parts about getting minis from Artel W is the box! Each one comes wrapped in twine and hand-sealed, just a really fun little addition. Each mini is also very well wrapped and taken care of.

Unboxing:

Crimson Legion mini 1

Commissar

CommissarThe commissar-styled guy is amazing looking and went together super easily. It almost has a Mad Max-style to it. Rob made him with the bolt pistol but they also give you a bunch of extra options like a plasma pistol, sword, and mace.

Commissar

Crimson Legion 2

Crimson Legion 3

Crimson Legion 4Every trooper is amazing and would stand out on the tabletop. Just look at all the detail they packed into every single mini. Each one would make for a fun painting challenge, and your enemies will just be jealous of your insane army. They also give you plenty of special weapons, so you can equip them effectively for a game.

Size Comparisons

Size comparison

Size comparison 2They are pretty well sized to a marine, maybe a hair bigger than a normal guardsman, but nothing crazy.

Size comparison 3They are a little bigger, but nothing crazy that would break a game.

That’s it for this one, be sure to watch the full video for Rob’s breakdown and insights. Overall they are great minis and with all the discounts you can get from Artel W, they are super worth it! Especially with things being so scarce on the plastic side of things, it could be time to look at the resin manufacturers out there.
