We had seen some earlier rumors on the pricing for the new model, but Games Workshop may have let the cat out of the bag a little early over the weekend.
Check out the latest on what the pricing may be for the new Primaris Space Marine Action figure from Bandai that goes on pre-order October 5th!
Let’s start back in the early summer and then fast forward to the latest:
Earlier Release Rumors for Bandai’s Primaris Marine Action Figure
According to an industry insider, the new Primaris Action figure will be priced and packaged similarly to the other licensed releases Bandai does.
What does that mean? Bandai has their own specific line that they categorize licensed models under called S.H Figuarts. This new Avengers Warmachine figure is a prime example. With that said, the Primaris Marine might also hit the shelves under the same product line (mainly because the Primaris belongs to GW and therefore a licensee item).
Warmachine Figure Stand
Going off one of Bandai’s latest products, this Marvel Avengers action figure sits just one inch shorter than the Primaris Marine will. It might be out of stock right now, but we first saw the item go for pre-order at $80. Now that it’s available (and out of stock) it’s sitting at just under $90.
The extra inch and weapon options could drive up the price on the Primaris but at the end of the day, the model could very well sell for $80-$100 just like another licensee items.
You can see the Primaris Marine on display here with a clear plastic stand that looks to hook around his waist. Just like the stand holding up the Warmachine figure from above. Also shown are separate Primaris hand options as well.

Pre orders out next week 11,000¥
Note the display card in the front, and what looks to be socketed hand options as well:
11,000¥
Question is, what does that mean in USD or any other currency for that matter? A few quick comparisons on Games Workshop’s website between the US and Japanese webstores turned this up:
The Land Raider Redeemer/Crusader is around 11,000¥
On the US store, the same model is $80, and £50 on the UK store.
However, if you just convert 11,000¥ to USD and GBP you end up with about $93, and £101 respectively. Overall this is far from conclusive. However, if you compare GW’s site prices to the Marvel figure in the first pricing update, then an MSRP of around $80 USD starts to make more sense.
What are your thoughts on the pricing for the action figure? Will you be grabbing a Primaris figure and painting it up in your favorite Chapter’s colors?
