Warhammer Community finally pulled the curtain back on the Bandai Primaris Marine figure. While we’ve seen bits and pieces of the model in earlier posts around the web, there is more news on its release.

Bandai Primaris Space Marine Figure Goes Up For Pre-Order LATEST

bandai primaris marine 1This collectible work of art is right around the corner but there’s some important information to keep in mind:

bandai primaris marine 2There will only be 9,000 Primaris Marine action figures sold initially. Pre-orders on the model open on Saturday, October 5, 2019. Once 9,000 orders are placed, it won’t be available anymore. However, you do have until November 2nd, 2019 if there are still models waiting to be claimed.

We’ll send our final order to Bandai as soon as we hit 9,000, and they’ll produce the action figures and start deploying them around the world. We expect them to start arriving in your hands in the second quarter of 2020. Bandai will also make and sell a very limited run in select hobby and collectible shops, but don’t rely on being able to find one in stores – if you want one, pre-order it as soon as you can so you don’t risk missing out.

Bandai Space Marine Action Figure $100

Update: The Bandai Space Marine’s retail price is $100, which based on the global pricing below seems to make sense given the weight of the action figure is probably considerably less than larger priced items like Soul Wars and Dark Imperium.

Over a year later in 2021, this figure is selling for nearly $300 on eBay.

bandain space marine pricingIt is still up for pre-order on the New Zealand site at a cool $248 NZD, which gave us some clues to us USD and GBP pricing when it dropped:

Converting this price over to western currencies is a bit trickier. Currently, the Soul Wars box is $250 NZD, which gives us a good baseline to go by to convert into “GW pricing in local currencies”.

The same Soul Wars set costs $150 on the US webstore and £95 in the UK, which gave us an approximate sale price of $145-150 or £90-95 for the new Bandai Marine respectfully.  That was assuming that GW is using the same pricing algorithm for this item, as the much heavier to ship Soul Wars box set.

That was our best guess based on GW’s own established pricing matrices. As you know, it is now up for pre-order for $100 USD and £75.

Are you going to be one of the 9000 people to get a copy of the new figure when the time locks come off the webstore in your area?

What are your thoughts on the Primaris Marine? Will you be repainting it, or looking to buy one in your chapter colors?
