Be the Next Duncan GW is Hiring Another Painter Presenter

gw-hiring-painter-presenterGW is hiring another painter presenter, so if you think you have what it takes to be the next Duncan, why not apply?

Well, if you’ve always dreamed of making content for GW and showing off painting techniques to tons of hobbyists, this might be for you! Obviously, they want someone who is not only good at painting but also shows off how to get the results.

This will be a Nottingham-based job, so either you want to live there or be there already. Basically, if you are a good painter and have a near-endless love of Warhammer, this could be the job for you.

Also, this job opening ends on the 26th of March. Let’s take a look at the details!

GW Hiring New Specialist Painting Presenter

Vashtorr the Arkifane and Supreme Grand Master AzraelLet’s hear about who they are looking for and what they expect:

We’re looking for world class, competition-winning painters to join our Digital & Community Painting Team. Day-to-day, you’ll work with the Warhammer TV team to make amazing pre-recorded videos which show people the techniques and methods needed to take their painting to the highest levels.

You’ll come up with painting plans, gather the resources you need and work with the filming team to create the best possible painting tutorials. You’ll be an expert in the Citadel painting system and working with the TV team, you’ll develop an interesting and engaging presenting style.

You will also be asked to present live on Warhammer TV and get to be involved in Warhammer Community’s various painting and modelling projects.

  • An accomplished miniatures painter with an understanding of what makes a fantastically painted Warhammer miniature, able to communicate that effectively through your work, preferably to an audience.
  • Enjoy collaborating with the other creatives to generate the best result. Constantly looking for innovative ways to display and demonstrate expert level techniques.
  • Productive with your time, always delivering to agreed deadlines, and at the required quality.
  • Great at communicating with stakeholders at the right time to keep them informed of the status of each project.

Working at GW

At Games Workshop we are looking for people who will do their best to understand the needs of the company and to put those needs first when they are at work. Because of this, we believe that what you are like, hence the attitude you show to work and the way you choose to behave is just as important as your skills and experience.

The Warhammer World site is based just outside of Nottingham city center and benefits from a nearby tram stop and free onsite car parking.

In return for your hard work, you will receive 33 days of holiday per year (including public holidays), a matching contributory pension scheme up to 7.5%, a profit share bonus (subject to GW meeting profit targets), and the option to join our Share Save scheme.  Oh and let’s not forget, a staff discount of between 25% and 50% on our products!

Looks like a fun opportunity for someone to help make the game we love that much better! Plus, we’ll have to see how this pans out for their content!

Will you be applying for this? Do you think this would be a fun job?
