Build & Magnetize: Imperial Knights Review

By Caitlyn Cumberland | June 11th, 2018 | Categories: Warhammer 40k

knights castellanThe long-anticipated release of the Imperial Knights is here! We have the inside scoop on how to assemble and magnetize these new models!

The new Dominus kits consist of three sprues total in existence, with two of the same leg and lower torso sprues coming in both boxes and one model specific sprue filling out the box set depending on the model.

It’s pretty easy to magnetize them to rotate at the torso and at the elbows to swap guns, if you are fortunate enough to have extras of the Dominus class main weapons.

Overall the Dominus class is about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch taller than the Questoris Class Knight but is way more articulated.

Watch the video to see the specific techniques to magnetize your knights, and catch all the gotchas so you don’t mess up building yours.

The Knight Valiant defeats its enemies through the simple principle of applying overwhelming firepower at close proximity. Make no mistake, this is a huge bit of kit, sharing a basic shape with a standard Imperial Knight but expanding upon that basic structure with more armour and a number of weapon upgrades, focusing on dominant close-quarters combat.

Knight Castellan $170

The Knight Castellan can be likened to a towering fortress, a bastion of Imperial might garrisoned by a single Noble lord and armed with an array of weapons so fearsome that they can tear the heart from an invading army. An enormous super-heavy walker sharing a basic shape with a standard Imperial Knight but expanding upon that basic structure with more armour and a number of weapon upgrades, this Knight variant focuses on devastating long-range artillery strikes.

Armiger Helverins $75

The Armiger Helverin is a fast-moving weapons platform designed to lay down blistering hails of heavy fire while running rings around the enemy’s forces. Capable of firing hundreds of armour-piercing shells per minute, even a single such weapon can swiftly whittle down infantry ranks or shred armoured vehicles.

Be sure to check out the full unboxing and our build of the Knight Valiant, and our tips on how to magnetize it and both Armigers.
