It may be the end for Blackstone Fortress expansions, but the hobbyists at Castle Brush studios have no issues painting one up to showcase levels.
Their artistic team is pumping out some amazing looking projects for the worldwide hobby community. Take a look at one of their latest works of art.
Black Stone Fortress, By Castle Brush:
Our second take on Blackstone Fortress miniatures, along with Escalation expansion following it. The scheme was based on our previously painted miniatures from this Warhammer Quest game.
The commission consisted of all the miniatures available in the standalone game and Escalation expansion. All the player Characters were painted on Overlord (3) quality (except the Raus& Rein, also Technoarcheologist’s Servitor which was painted on Champion (2) quality).
Some of the more important enemies (Mallex, CSMs, Cultist Firebrand) were also painted on Overlord level.
Bases were inspired by the tiles of the Blackstone Fortress game, the same way we did it previously – fully freehanding them. Eye of Horus freehand on the Mallex’ cloak is a really nice touch, and a challenge to replicate it again!
Cultists from Escalation match the Renegade Guard’s paint scheme, which blends them nicely with the rest of the Servants of the Abyss.
That is some quality work! If you are looking for a studio that can handle anything from dioramas to full-scale armies, make sure you check out the creative team at Castle Brush today!
