Editors Note: They are all undefeated because their teams were! These were 1v1 games with a team of 8 people. Teams were able to pick the matchups, so these lists are a little unique. This explains some of the unit choices being risky or bold!
3rd Place: Justin Moore – Sisters of Battle
2nd Place: Nicholas Fromme – Sisters of Battle
1st Place: Liam Vsl – Thousand Sons
Liam’s list brought a suite of strong characters, making up the bulk of his entire army. He starts off with Ahriman for a good +1 to wound and a free ritual, followed by an Exalted Sorcerer for NERFing enemy movement and buffing friendly units’ durability, three Infernal Masters for Sustained Hits, and Magnus for a huge well stat-ed model with great abilities to buff allies while still packing a punch. The last one is a normal Sorcerer for Lethal Hits.
Battle line keeps it simple with six units of the iconic Rubric Marines for their durability and fantastic Soulreaper cannons.
Two Rhinos add some mobility options for the early turns and help with a few extra shots each round.
Then the list closes out by adding a unit of Cultists to wound soak and some Tzaangor Enlightened for ranged shots to help round out points with some good models.
And there you have it! The Champions Cup showcased some top-tier Warhammer 40k action, and these army lists certainly did not disappoint. From Sisters of Battle to Thousand Sons, it’s clear that these players brought their A-game. Whether you’re a veteran player or just getting started, there’s a lot to learn from these top-tier tactics and compositions.
