Pew! Pew! New Chaos Space Marine Heavy Weapon SPOTTED!

daemon engine warhammer community preview rumor teaser

GW’s rumor Daemon engine rolled out another bit for us to break down. Like the others before, we know it’s something that’s been tainted by the Warp.

Warhammer Community hasn’t missed a beat with rumor engines since they announced the “rumor Daemon engine“. And today, there’s a new weapon we’re looking into.

Looking at the new bit, it’s definitely some kind of gun mounted to the top of a Daemon Engine. But what kind of Daemon Engine exactly? Well, notice the spikes? They start off short and get longer and longer. Plus, the gun looks to be mounted at the top of the hump to whatever it’s on.

Survey says it’s a weapon option for the Venomcrawler?

All signs look to be pointing to some kind of variant form of the Venomcrawler. The Venomcrawler is a new Daemon Engine model spotted out of the Shadowspear Box Set featuring all-new models for Primaris and Chaos.

If this is a Venomcrawler underneath the rumor engine bit, we can take a solid guess that you’ll be able to build either variant from the same box (once this hits the shelves by itself).

Looking at the model of the weapon itself, it looks like it might be a brand new weapon. At first glance, something tells us it’ll be something like a heavy flamer. It’s got the metal piping underneath protruding past the barrel like a flame holder. However, this Daemon-forged weapon could always have two different firing modes (like a concentrated shot) that could punch through armor.

Ultimately, we’ll just have to keep our eyes peeled for more previews to drop revealing more on the bit. Do you think that weapon is sitting on a Venomcrawler? How many points do you think it will cost? Let us know in the comments of our Facebook Hobby Group.
