Chaos Wins Wrath of Angels: Top 3 40k Army Lists
Thanks to Best Coast Pairings, we can look back at the event as if we were all there ourselves.
3rd Place: Richard Moore – Genestealer Cults
Editorial Note: Unfortunately Richard’s GSC list wasn’t submitted online where we looked. But at least we know GSC can still perform at the top!
2nd Place: David Kane – Ultramarines
1st Place: Michael McConkey – Chaos
Michael’s winning Chaos Soup army list had a CSM Elite Arks of Omen Detachment led by a Flying Daemon Prince for a great mobile melee model and a Dark Apostle for some great support through prayers. There is also a Lord Discordant for its great combat power and durability, along with a Master of Possession for psychic support.
Troops bring a single 10-man unit of Cultist for some meat shields.
Elites start off with a 9-man Terminator squad, which provides good all-around models with durability and power in both combat phases. A Master of Executions helps hunt characters for a cheap investment, and 10 Possessed add more melee threats.
Fast Attacks close out the detachment with a Chaos Spawn and a Vemoncralwer for some efficient units that might sneak out some good punch-ups in point value.
The second detachment with a Daemon Patrol led by another Flying DP for another great mobile threat, this time with psychic power thanks to Tzeentch! there are also 10 Blue Horrors for some decent bodies and 10 Flamers for some fantastic chaff clearers!
