Cold Knights, Cold Guard: Atomic Empire Army Showcase

atomic empire guard walFenrisian Knights and Imperial Guard took to the frozen fields at Warzone: Atomic Empire. Check out this army’s incredible display!

Warzone: Atomic Empire was a qualifier event for Warzone: Atlanta later in the year. With people fighting for a slot, there were some awesomely painted competitive lists! Get ready to step into a snowy display that looks like it was literally cut from a frozen mountainside.

Cold Knights, Cold Guard: Atomic Empire Army Showcase

Looking at the army overall, you can get a full view of the entire display. Now THIS is a 3-D display board. From Imperial bastions covered in snow to rocky outcrops, everything is tied in together perfectly with the model’s icy color and snow bases. Plus, who knew Leman Russes would look so cool if you just reverse the way the turrets face!

Looking at each of the Knights, every single one is rocking a custom Fenrisian style. From a beard of cables to other iconography, these guys are all glorified walkers from the days of Russ.

Supporting the Knights is an entire Battalion of Guard. Of course, Knights are CP guzzlers in 8th edition, but even the cheap-o Battalion of meat shields look phenomenal.

The leader orchestrating everything has an awesome pink power sword that really pops with the blues in the rest of the list. Perched up on a piece of an underground bunker, he’s able to get a perfect view of the battlefield.

Awesome job with this display board, color scheme, and conversions! Now, this is flexing your hobby muscles! What are your thoughts on snow-themed armies?
