1st Place: Samuel Smith – Chaos Space Marines

Samuel Smith 1

Samuel’s list was led by two Dark Commune for some surprisingly cheap and point-efficient leaders that can pair up with Cultists. Speaking of which, a unit of Cultists and two units of Accursed Cultists supply the list with plenty of chip shots and cheap wound soakers. Two units of Legionaries, on the other hand, bring in better bodies and some ranged shots to help the fire lines.

All of the list’s mobility is up next, starting with a unit of Raptors and two units of bikers for the cheaper options, while a Predator and three Vindicators bring in the tank suit with some good ranged firepower. A single Rhino helps add a few more shots and a transportation option for the early turns.

A War Dog Karnivore is allied in for a super solid mobile armor threat and happens to get the list closed out on a crisp 2k points!

The Dark Sphere July GT showcased some impressive displays of strategic prowess and tactical Warhammer 40k acumen with these army lists. Chaos Space Marines, T’au, and Votann claimed the top spots, showcasing a potential shift in what players should consider.

Overall, studying these lists can provide valuable insights and inspiration for your own army-building for both newer Warhammer 40k players and pros alike.
