Death From Above: Castle Brush Paints Tempestus Scions
This commission consisted of:
- 19 Militarum Tempestus Scions – Knight (1) Lvl
- Militarum Tempestus Scions with Plasma Guns – Champion (2) Lvl
- Scion Command Squad Standard Bearer – Champion (2) Lvl
- Tempestor Prime with full weapon magnetization – Champion (2) Lvl
- Lord Commissar – Champion (2) Lvl
- Missionary with Chainsword – Champion (2) Lvl
- Bullgryns – Champion (2) Lvl
- Taurox Primes with full magnetization and wheels conversion – Champion (2) lvl
The focus here was placed to prepare a consistent and good-looking army, with base troops on Knight,
tabletop+ standard, and some specific miniatures, headquarters, and vehicles on Champion quality,
to better catch the viewer’s attention on the favorite miniatures. There was a little of everything in
here: conversion (see those wheels on Tauroxes? 😉 ), magnetization (Tempestor, Bullgryns and
Tauroxes), scheme development (adjusting the Missionary to the Scions)and even freehanding (see
the Bullgryns)!
We had a chance to warm up while magnetizing the Tempestor Prime before we jump on the full
Taurox Prime magnetization – and this was a crazy, yet very enlightening experience. And probably
the best thing one could do to those “controversial” tracks is grab an APC Wheels and Suspension Kit
from Victoria Miniatures and swap it – we are thrilled with the end result!
That is some quality work! If you are looking for a studio that can handle anything from dioramas to full-scale armies, make sure you check out the creative team at Castle Brush today!
