Denver 40k Fight Club: Death Guard – Matthew Murrell 5th Place
A Lord of Virulence led Matthew’s Death Guard for wound re-rolls along with buffing blast weapons. A Plaguecaster brings in a good movement debuff and some mortal wound output, and a Noxious Blightbringer has a great advance and charge re-roll buff. The two named characters are Typhus, for a great stat line with mortal wound output, and hit re-rolls to his unit. Everyone’s favorite, Mortarion, is simply the best solo model in the faction, as he should be the leader in the lore!
The more basic options see two units of Plague Marines for solid, cheap bodies and two Rhinos to help transport them (or another unit).
The special units start with two Deathshroud units for some banger melee threats with good durability, followed by two Bloat drones and two Blight-Haulers for a mix of mobility, durability, and ranged firepower.
Finally, the list ends on two Plagueburst Crawlers for their iconic ranged weapons pumping out mortar shells all game long.
