Dread Fall is the Warhammer 40k Animation We Needed!

dread fall feature rIf you’ve been hankering for an amazing new Warhammer 40k animation, the Dread Fall short by Max Murray is one to watch!

It feels like it’s been an eternity since we’ve seen a 40k animation pop up in the wild, and this one more than makes up for the wait. It focuses on what a Dreadnought could really do to some poor Chaos Cultists (why is it always the cultists who get destroyed?).

Max Murray has this up on YouTube and Vimeo, and if you like Dreads or just wild 40k animations in general, you might have to watch this one twice.

We’ll be going over some of the details, but you should really watch it for yourself below as it may be on par with the Dreadnought animation from the first Dawn of War!

Dread Fall is the Warhammer 40k Animation We Needed!

Even though this is only a minute and a half, it packs a serious punch from start to finish and is just super cool. So even if you only have a minute today, make sure to watch this.

dread fallThe video opens up with some heretics just minding their own business, well, not really. A battle is going on in the distance and a transport flies above.

dread fall 2The details they got into this are just wild. Just look at that heretic. What is he looking at though? Oh, just a dreadnought transport heralding his doom…

dread fall 3Once the dread drops down all hell breaks loose as he starts destroying the cultists in mass.

dread fall 4Obviously, it wouldn’t be complete without some flamer action! That will clear the trenches real quick.

dread fall 5Even a plane is no match for a mighty dread. This is about where things end, but be sure to watch the whole thing for yourself and check out their YouTube and Vimeo here!
