Today Rob takes a look at the new Tomb World resin bases from Elrik’s, which are perfect for all the new Warhammer 40k Necrons!
We are going to show you all the different sizes they have available, what the bases look like unpainted, and some finished bases. That way you can decide if these are worth your hard-earned hobby dollars to make your army look better on the tabletop. Let’s go!
Elrik’s Hobbies Necron Tomb World Bases: Unboxing
A ton of game systems are constantly changing their base sizes. Elrik’s Hobbies really understands the conundrum and they have basically every base size available! For this style of base alone they have over 15 sizes, pretty crazy! You can even get the flier base with this set so it fits in the rest of your army. This is also one of the first times they 3D created these, so they are super crips and just look great.
For those who don’t want to rebase everything, they also have base size converters so you can keep your existing bases. Just pop them in the new size converter and go.
The Bases
All the bases look great and are just super crisp! When you use the flying stand, Rob recommends using blue-tac instead of glue to hold it in since it’s so hard to store otherwise.
All the Necron minis fit so perfectly on these! Especially since the Indomitus dudes could just be popped in without glue, you can throw these on without having to break your current bases.
They also make basically every size for these, even ones that the Crons don’t use. You may ask why. Well, maybe your other armies are fighting the Necrons, it would make sense that they are walking around on a tomb world!
Painted Base
Rob painted up a base a tiny bit too small for this guy. But you can really make the bases pop with the hyper glow technique from Next Level Painting. They look great when painted up, that’s for sure!
Objective Markers
They just started doing this, but it’s super awesome! They make objective markers to match your bases for even better games.
They even have a numbering system that’s super easy to learn so you know what each one represents. Necrons can sometimes be a little boring depending on how you paint them, so it’s cool to have stuff like this to make your army stand out.
That does it for this unboxing. If you’ve been looking for some Necron bases, go check out these Tomb World ones, and everything Elrik’s Hobbies has to offer.
