It’s been a wild week from GW, but let’s take a quick look back at everything we know about Death Guard Space Marine Heroes 3!
The 7 miniatures for Death Guard Space Marine Heroes Series 3 are coming to the US in their typical blind box format, but GW also announced that complete sets would be available as well!
The models are push-fit and push off the frames for ease of construction. You’ll be able to order individual packs, each containing a random model, or a complete set that’s guaranteed to get you all six.*.
The cool thing is, we actually already know what the shaded Chaos Lord miniature looks like, as these models (and a cool paint set with Plaguecaster) were revealed last summer in Japan!
Everything We Know About Death Guard SM Heroes 3
Keeping up with the theme of Space Marine Heroes, they are going to be Easy-to-Build Sprues with pre-detailed bases. Now let’s check out the Plague Marines that are coming in the packs.
Each of the Marines looks to have two head options, adding some variation to the models. It also appears that the sorcerer is only in the paint set, which might be a Japan-exclusive package.
The guy with the Plaguespitter looks to be posed almost in the exact same way as the exclusive Noise Marine model that came out last year.
Clotticus is more of a banner lord, perfect for an icon bearer in your Death Guard Plague Marine squads.
This is a standard character with a bolter, perfect for adding some character and flair to your otherwise stock marines.

This hero is throwing a grenade, if you’re excited about this model he might be able to replace your Biologus Putrifiers
Chaos Lord Unmasked!
This hero comes with a balesword and a plasma pistol, making him an ideal model for a Death Guard themed Chaos lord!
This hero has a flail of corruption, a notably popular weapon option in Killteam, making him a perfect fit for those lists.
Space Marine Heroes Series 3 Paint Set
Showcasing the new Scabboth on the front of the box, he’s the model coming inside the paint set, and as of right now not available in the US.
Just like the previous Heroes paint set this one came with the following:
- 1x Miniature
- 12x Paints
- 1x Paintbrush
These boxes are designed to be a welcome mat into the hobby. Buyers get a decent amount of paints and can even build the mini without shelling out another $20 on clippers and glue. It’s not a bad deal for someone who’s brand new and just wants to test the water!
As for Scabboth, it looks like he fits the bill of a Malignant Plaguecaster nicely!
What And When Is It Finally Coming To The West?
With the severe allocations looming, it appears that each store can only get 3 boxes of the new Space Marine Heroes, meaning if you’re in the US you’ll want to get them while you can. Sadly, as of right now, there is no painting set announced for sale, and in turn, no Plaguecaster model, which leads us to believe that it might be a Japanese exclusive.
So with all of the models revealed for Series three of Space Marine Heroes and it coming to the west, will you be trying to get your hands on them? Will you be getting multiple at your LGS once they get some?
